cleaning your make up brushes is truly one of the biggest pains in the ass that I have ever come across when it comes to doing make up. I find it easier to put on false eyelashes than cleaning my brushes just because it really takes so much effort and I don’t always like effort. Though it takes a lot, it is obviously important to clean your brushes because make up gets caked in there and then it is bad for your skin, or something. Here is a step by step on how I clean my brushes with minimal effort (but still some effort) and I am going to do it the only way I know how, by making it like a task analysis at my job.

what you need:
- Make up brushes that need to be cleaned (duh.)
- A gentle cleanser
- A handheld makeup brush cleaner thing (I don’t know what it is called, sorry lmao)
- A drying towel
- A sink

Step 1: fill the sink with warmer water and drop those bad boys in there to soak for about a minute
Step 2: put a small amount of your cleanser on your handheld thing
Step 3: choose the brush you want to wash first and make circles on the cleanser while in the handheld thing
Step 4: rinse the brush thoroughly to see where you are currently at with the amount of make up on it
Repeat steps 2 through 4 until all your brushes are as clean as they can be

Step 5: let the brushes dry on a drying towel for a while
doing it like this takes me only about 5-10 minutes and I try to clean my brushes at least once a week, sometimes twice, sometimes I go a couple weeks. It all depends on when I remember that I should probably clean my brushes.
